EMPTYING THE WASTE BIN

Before moving the printer

The printer locks the waste bin in place until it needs emptying. However, you can

use the Utilities menu to unlock the waste bin so that you can empty it before the

front panel message prompts you to do so.

1 When the printer is on and the Ready message appears in the front panel,

access the Utilities menu by pressing the Menu button, then press an arrow

button until you see this message:

<--- ---> Menu

2 Press the Menu button.

3 Press an arrow button until you see this message:

Unlock Waste Bin

<--- ---> Select

4 Press the Select button to unlock the waste bin. The front panel displays this

Waste Bin Unlocked

5 Remove and empty the waste bin (see Front panel displays Empty Waste Bin),

then re-insert it into the printer.
