When you open the front cover, the following message appears:
Caution Hot Surfaces
Replace Maintenance Tray

Grasp the maintenance tray by the front edge and lift up while
sliding it out of the printer.
Note
Once the maintenance tray has been partially used, it leaks drum
fluid if tipped. Never ship a partially used maintenance tray.
Contact with the drum fluid poses no known health risk. Refer to
“MSDS for silicone oil” on page D-7 for more information.

Install a new maintenance tray in the printer.
Note
Be sure to push on both sides of the maintenance tray to latch it
firmly into the printer.
5.
Close the front cover and wait for the printer to warm-up.
6.
To prevent leaking, seal the used maintenance tray in the plastic
bag from the new (replacement) maintenance tray. Treat the used
maintenance tray as normal office waste.
